Prologue

Shiori wakes up from her sleep in the couch. Suddenly, she feels thirsty and hungry, and brought a bag of chips from a table of sweets where one of her team members recently bought.

Shiori walks to the mizuya to prepare tea for the ceremony. She already gathered the aged tea leaves yesterday from her tree. Then, Shiori puts hot water for roughly a minute. After a minute, when she tasted the now decaf tea, she noticed that it has no taste, so she steeps the first water, then re-steep the hot water for slightly longer than before. After minutes, the tea tasted better, but for the sweetness, Shiori takes one cube of sugar.

Shiori then pours the tea to the pot, ready for the ceremony. To complete the preparation, she pours the tea into four cups and places them on the table, along with the wagashi of dango and mochi. She slid the door open to announce that the tea is ready.

Midori is sleeping under the veranda, while Kozue and Roxanne are playing outside. As they didn't listen, Shiori heads out to angrily shout at them.

Midori wakes up from the knock, immediately heads inside. Kozue and Roxanne suddenly stopped playing outside, Kozue tells Roxanne that Shiori's tea ceremony is set.
